Saaisha India Foundation (Saaisha means Meaningful Life), is a charitable organisation, of compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals working towards bringing comfort and making a difference in the lives of women and children in a tangible way.
Our members are avid and experienced crocheters and knitters, who create handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomy. The prosthesis are lovingly called "knockers". We also make beanies for children under 12 years of age who are undergoing chemothepary. We are registered with Knittedknockers.org of USA and the Knockers are made from patterns specified by them. These knockers and beanies are provided for FREE to the beneficiaries.
